Sanjoy Banerjee - Hindustani Vocal
Two integral parts of Indian Classical music are melody and rhythm (taal). While we develop the knowledge of melodies and the grammar of raga, it is just as important to have a thorough understanding and application of rhythm.
This workshop will focus on various rhythmic cycles and the utilization of rhythmic patterns, and exercises that will help improve rhythmic improvisations. It should be beneficial to all music students - both vocal and instrumental.
