From routine cleaning and string replacement to professional jewari adjustment, our sitar services are designed to preserve the sound, playability, and condition of your instrument.

How It Works

1. Choose your service
   Select the maintenance or repair option that best fits your needs.

2. Complete the Service Contract
   Download, print, and complete the short Service Contract included below.

3. Drop off or ship your sitar
   Bring your sitar to Chhandayan in person, or securely ship it to us in its case. Please include the completed Service Contract with your instrument.

4. We inspect and service your instrument
   Once received, our team will inspect your sitar and complete the selected work. If we recommend additional work beyond the service purchased, we can contact you for approval before proceeding.

5. Pick up your sitar or have it shipped back
   Once the work is complete, you can pick up your instrument from Chhandayan or have it shipped back to you. Customers requesting return shipping should add the Return Shipping option to their order.

• String Replacement (Labor Only) - Complete string change; strings not included - $100

• Complete Maintenance - Basic Maintenance + Jewari -Adjustment $210

• Complete Sitar Service (Labor Only) - Complete Maintenance + String Replacement (Labor Only) - $300

• Complete Sitar Service (Strings Included) - Complete Maintenance + String Replacement (Strings Included)- $320

Not sure which service you need? Bring or send us your sitar and our team can assess its condition and recommend the appropriate service before additional work is performed.

Drop-Off, Pickup & Shipping Information

Customers may drop off and pick up their sitar directly from Chhandayan or ship their instrument to us.

Please complete our two-page Service Contract and include it with your instrument, whether dropping it off or shipping it.

If shipping your sitar, please pack it securely inside its case. Customers who would like their instrument shipped back must also purchase the Return Shipping option.

Shipping insurance is strongly recommended. Chhandayan cannot assume responsibility for damage incurred during uninsured shipping.
