Language of Tabla Lectures

These lecture classes presented by Samir Chatterjee are about the Language of Tabla.

Tabla is a two-piece set of north Indian drums, with seemingly innumerable tones forming into a highly developed drum-language. In this class the evolution, subtleties and expressiveness of that language will be nurtured through various means. The interactive lecture class will be open to all interested in the topic. Having an instrument during the classes will not be necessary. These lectures will be conducted online through Zoom, so you will need an internet connection and webcam/microphone.

This is a six-week lecture series, which is taking place every Monday from July 25 through August 29, 2022, from 8.20 to 9 pm.
