Pratik Shrivastava
Pratik was initiated into the art of playing the Sarod at the age of six by his grandfather Pandit Rabi Chakraborty, himself an eminent Sarod player of the Maihar Gharana, and nurtured the art form under the tutelage of his uncle Dr. Rajeeb Chakraborty ever since. Pratik has also received guidance from Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty and Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar.
His notable performances include several prestigious Classical music festivals in India and abroad such as Darbar Festival (London), Swar Samrat Festival (Kolkata), Gandharva Mahavidyalay (Delhi) and many more. Pratik has received several scholarships at Anun Lund Rej Memorial Foundation 1999, Norway., National scholarship by Govt. of India Ministry of Culture, New Delhi, 2007, Jnana Pravaha Foundation scholarship, 2013. Pratik’s participation in various contemporary fusion music projects and film scores reflects his versatility and a unique approach towards different genres of music.
He has had the privilege of working and performing with legendary musicians and composers like Pandit Bickram Ghosh, Anoushka Shankar, A.R. Rahman, Shantanu Moitra and Arijit Singh among others. His recent collaboration with phenomenal Indo-German Pianist Jarry Singla has paved the way for numerous performances at several prestigious Jazz music events around Europe. Pratik’s talent and achievements are a reflection of his hard work and unadulterated guidance from his family and teachers.
Tejavrush Joshi
Tejovrush's journey with the tabla spans over 14 years, under the expert guidance of the late Pt. Bapusaheb Patwardhan ji, an esteemed exponent of the Farukhabad gharana and a direct disciple of the legendary Ustad Ahmedjaan Thirakhwa Khansahab. Tejovrush's talent has graced numerous prestigious stages across India and abroad. His artistry has earned him recognition and accolades at both state and national levels. Additionally, he has had the privilege to collaborate with esteemed maestros spanning generations, enriching his repertoire through vocal, instrumental, and dance collaborations.
His notable performances in Baba Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan, Jalandhar, Gaansaraswati Mahotsav, Pune., Sur Hindol and Malhar Center, National Center for Performing Arts, Banyan Tree Collectives, Indian Heritage Society, Art and Artistes, Taj Mahal Tea House and First Edition Arts, Mumbai, Lakshminarayan Global Music Festival curated by Dr. L Subramaniam ji. Surashree Kesarbai Kerkar Sangeet Samaroha, Goa, global collaboration with Vidushi Kala Ramnath. He is a graded artist of All India Radio with contributions to their national level broadcasts and concerts. he had two successful international tours to the USA in 2018 and 2023 respectively with Solo recitals, workshops and concerts with several musicians to credit.
