Nash Naubert
Nash Naubert, musician and founder of 'MUSIC OF NOW’ an organization that is focused on promoting Indian Classical Music among listeners world-wide. Nash has mastered the technique of playing the bansuri, an Indian bamboo flute in the world of Hindustani classical music. Originally from Seattle, USA, Nash has spent the last two decades in India pursuing the art of Indian classical music. This, along with his concert tours, teaching workshops, music albums and voluntary work speaks volumes about his dedication. Nash has toured USA, Europe and Canada, broadening the scope and horizons of Indian Classical Music to a global audience in 2019 highlighted with sold out performance at Carnegie Hall. Nash Naubert was chosen for Tedx Talks in Mumbai, to speak about his musical journey. He was awarded the Musicians Federation of India Award 2019 for excellence in Indian Classical Music.
Samir Chatterjee
Samir Chatterjee is a virtuoso tabla player. He performs and teaches all around the world. He can be heard on numerous recordings as soloist, and with other outstanding musicians from the East and the West. Samir lives in New Jersey and presides over a center for Indian music in midtown Manhattan. Samir teaches at several universities. He performed at the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony. He has also performed several times at the UN General Assembly. His compositions and writings are widely acclaimed. Samir played a significant role in the musical revival in Afghanistan. He is the recipient of a few awards such as the Sunshine Award, Jadu Bhatta Award and Acharya Varistha Award.
